Offsite workshop
in the mountains of Dagestan
4 days at the Caspian Glamping at 1,250 m altitude. Inside — 2 days of strategic work using the CEO-Workshop methodology and 2 days of decompression: Sulak Canyon, the Caspian Sea, mountain trails, Dagestani cuisine. An environment that actually changes how you think.
An environment where
you think differently
Morning — a gentle warm-up with a trainer (optional) and breakfast with a view of the valley. Then 6 hours of intense work using the CEO-Workshop methodology. By the end of the day you have the first 3 artifacts in hand.
Evening — samovar ceremony, dinner by the fire, downtime
Morning — a light activity (trekking or tai chi), breakfast. Then — we break the chosen priorities down into concrete actions with owners, metrics, and deadlines. By evening — all 6 artifacts.
Evening — meditation at the summit at sunset, dinner by the fire, conversation

The team is stuck in the office
Every Monday — the same faces, the same agendas, the same dead ends. In the office, the team can't break out of the daily grind. Changing the environment for 4 days isn't a vacation — it's a tool for breaking the pattern.
A big decision that's hard to make
You're prepping for a fundraise, a sale, entering a new market, switching models — and you need a decision you can't unwind. In the mountains, with 24 hours of quiet, decisions like these come out cleaner.
A new leadership team after M&A or growth
Two or three new leaders have joined, or there's been a company integration. You need to simultaneously: get to know each other as humans, align on priorities, and avoid turning it into a "corporate offsite with training".
Before the annual planning cycle
November–December, when the team sits down to plan next year. You want to start the year not "based on the strategy session output", but with a ready 6-month horizon already aligned inside the team.
The team is burning out from the pace
The year was tough, the team pulled through, but they're exhausted. You need a format where recovery and work happen in parallel — so you come back not "in the same loop", but with a renewed focus.
After the working day there are no taxis, no calls from direct reports, no laptop or email. There's a sunset over the mountains and dinner with the team. The brain processes decisions differently overnight — it turns "this all sounds logical" into "this actually works".
After 4 days of trekking together, dinners by the fire, and work in the marquee, the distance between roles drops. Back at the office, conversations move faster: you've already "lived through" each other as humans.
Morning trekking or stretching with a trainer, light strength work outdoors — this isn't fitness tourism, it's a tool. After 2 hours of activity, the quality of strategic discussion in the marquee is on a different level.
Sulak Canyon and the Caspian shore aren't a tourist program in brackets. They're a deliberate "ramp-in" and "ramp-out" buffer: the team doesn't go from back-to-backs straight into a strategy session, and doesn't leave the workshop straight onto a plane.
"Is this a good idea?" sounds different at a round table versus by a campfire. If a decision made on Tuesday doesn't fall apart Wednesday on the trek, by Thursday you're heading back with a confidence no in-town workshop can give you.
Six months later at the review, everyone remembers not "the October strategy session", but "when we were in Dagestan". It works as a shared reference point: "we decided there that this is priority #1". The anchor is stronger than any document.
